Julia and Edward Timpson became the owners of Bradan Lodges in August 2025. They love the tranquillity and wild beauty of this part of Scotland and wish to share it through the rental of their lodges Pine Marten, Wildcat and Woodcock. Edward is a keen walker and is discovering the many mountains and lochs in the area while Julia is a wildlife enthusiast and birdwatcher. Both love outdoor activities, especially when accompanied by their lovable and lively border terrier, Lucas.

Only a short stroll from Wildcat, Woodcock is a private hideaway blending style and comfort. Equipped with the same features, and also welcoming dogs, you can relax in its hot tub, gather around in the BBQ cabin, or unwind by the wood- burning stove. With thoughtful touches throughout, it’s designed for couples seeking a tranquil glen escape.
A stunning round log cabin set in the same beautiful peaceful glen as Woodcock and Wildcat, but situated in its own woodland glade. With a raised deck, Pine Marten affords every luxury for a romantic getaway, including a fully fitted kitchen and private hot tub. There is also a BBQ cabin for all-year-round barbecues and a fire pit with chairs outside. Dogs are also welcome here.
“My partner and I had an amazing stay at Wildcat lodge during a long weekend in September. The lodges are located in a beautifully picturesque and peaceful setting, surrounded by a seemingly endless choice of walks and historic sites to visit. The lodges are very spacious but cosy and the facilities are also top class – we definitely made the most of the indoor BBQ hut! I’d highly recommend a stay… We’ll definitely be coming back again to visit during another time of the year“
